Hune has perfect voting record

LANSING, Mich.— State Sen. Joe Hune, R-Hamburg, joined Sen. Tory Rocca, R-Sterling Heights, as the only senators with a perfect voting record for the 96th Legislature at 1,141 total record roll-call votes taken, with zero votes missed.

The 96th Legislature, which ran from January 2011 through December 2012, had the best voting record since the statistic has been tracked.

“I am pleased to hear that the 96th Legislature has lived up to their constituents’ expectations and were present to vote as often as possible,” said Hune, R-Hamburg. “Our constituents elect us to represent them in Lansing, and in doing so, to vote on their behalf whenever a vote comes up.”

Fifty members of the 110-member House had perfect voting records for the last session, well more than the number of perfect voters in the last five sessions combined.

“I hope that the 97th Legislature can live up to the precedent set by us this past session and we can continue to properly represent our respective districts,” Hune said.
