Sen. Hune offers comments following the 2012 State of the State address

LANSING – After Gov. Rick Snyder’s annual State of the State address, Sen. Joe Hune, R-Hamburg Township, issued the following statement:

“It was great to hear the governor’s optimism tonight. As he reported, the state of our state has improved dramatically compared to this time last year.

“Since first taking office in the Senate in 2011 my legislative colleagues and I have made the tough choices to help turn things around in Michigan. I’m glad to report that our bond outlook is positive, Bloomberg has ranked Michigan as second in the nation for economic health and our unemployment figures are the lowest they’ve been since September of 2008.

“While we’re heading in the right direction, we still have important work ahead of us. I am dedicated to getting our state back on the path to economic prosperity. My number one priority is revitalizing Michigan’s economy so our hard-working people can find jobs.

“I enjoy representing my constituents and the great people of the great state of Michigan. I am dedicated to doing whatever necessary to help move Michigan forward.”
